Privacy Policy
Collaboration Capital — Chrome Extension
Last updated: April 10, 2026
1. Introduction
This privacy policy describes how the Collaboration Capital Chrome
extension (“the Extension”) collects, uses, and protects
your information. The Extension is published by Collaboration Capital
and is designed to help users save target companies to their pipeline
while browsing the web.
2. Data We Collect
The Extension collects only the minimum data necessary to provide its
functionality:
-
Session token: Read from the collaborationcapital.org
cookie to authenticate API requests without requiring a separate
login.
-
Current tab URL and page title: Read when you
interact with the Extension to pre-fill the company name and website
fields in the save-target form.
-
User-provided input: Company name and description
that you type into the Extension’s form before saving a target.
-
Extension preferences: Your toolbar visibility
setting (enabled/disabled), stored locally.
3. How We Use Your Data
-
Authentication: The session token is used solely to
authenticate requests to the Collaboration Capital platform so you
don’t have to log in again.
-
Saving targets: The tab URL, page title, and your
input are sent to the Collaboration Capital API to create a target
entry in your pipeline.
-
Preferences: Toolbar visibility is stored in
Chrome’s sync storage so your setting follows you across
devices.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any
third parties. All data collected by the Extension is sent exclusively
to the Collaboration Capital platform servers
(app.collaborationcapital.org) that are operated by us. No analytics or
tracking services are used within the Extension.
5. Data Storage
-
Session token: Stored in Chrome’s synchronized
storage (
chrome.storage.sync) and cleared when you log
out of the platform or remove the Extension.
-
Temporary data: Company name, description, and
project selection are held in the browser’s local storage during
your session and cleared after the target is saved.
-
Saved targets: Once submitted, target data is stored
on the Collaboration Capital platform servers, governed by the
platform’s main privacy policy.
6. Permissions Explained
-
cookies: Reads your session cookie from the
Collaboration Capital website to authenticate requests.
-
storage: Saves your preferences and caches the
session token.
-
activeTab & tabs: Reads the URL and title of the
page you are viewing to pre-fill the save-target form.
-
scripting: Injects the floating toolbar into web
pages so you can save targets with one click.
-
Host access (all URLs): The toolbar is injected on
all websites because target companies can be found on any domain.
7. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You can delete all Extension-related data at any time by:
-
Removing the Extension from Chrome (Settings → Extensions), which
clears all locally stored data.
-
Deleting your Collaboration Capital account, which removes all target
data stored on our servers.
- Contacting us at the email below to request data deletion.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be
reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of
the updated policy.
